Time-honoured timber-frame architecture, centuries of industrial heritage and a world-famous porcelain manufactory – Frankfurt Höchst is a lively city district that looks back on a long and storied past. Heritage-listed since 1972, the famous old town of Höchst is Frankfurt's largest enclosed timber-frame housing ensemble, with most of its buildings having been erected shortly after the great fire of 1586.

Discover Höchst

Frankfurt-Höchst is the ideal day-trip destination for Frankfurt visitors, being only a thirty-minute commuter train ride from the city centre. A bike ride to Höchst takes slightly longer, but is all the more worthwhile. There are several ways to get there, including the Main Cycling Path (MainRadweg) and along Frankfurt's beautiful GreenBelt (GrünGürtel), which takes cyclists along the scenic banks of the River Main or the Nidda.
