This city walk offers exciting comparisons of old and new Frankfurt. Here, Emperor’s Cathedral, St Paul’s Church and Römer City Hall stand in highly contrast to the pulsating metropolis and its impressive skyline. This excellent tour will serve to share with you many interesting stories and anecdotes of historical and modern Frankfurt. Moreover, it will also more closely acquaint you with the birthplace of Germany’s most famous author and poet, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The tour’s absolute highlight in every sense of the term is the visit of the MAIN TOWER’s rooftop observation platform, which offers magnificent panoramic views some 200 metres above Frankfurt’s city streets.

  • Emperors’ Hall and St Paul’s Church are two of the City of Frankfurt’s representative venues, often used to host official ceremonies. The Frankfurt Tourist+Congress Board is therefore unable to ensure accessibility to these two locations at all times.
  • The MAIN TOWER does not take reservations; slight delays may therefore be unavoidable.
  • The rooftop observation platform may be closed at short notice for safety reasons, e.g., during spells of very poor weather.
  • Interior viewings of Frankfurt Cathedral are not possible while church services are being held.
